Our Chinchillas
These two are Salvador on the left and our new Pepita II on the right. Salvador had been paired with Pippa and now we're hoping that with Pepita he will produce some beautiful violet wraps. Pepita II is out of Gimli and Abibi and Salvador comes from Pitch and Willow who both are no longer with us but were some of our first chins long ago. Pepita had her first baby a few weeks ago, a standard vc male also in the Nursery.
Beethoven is our TOV violet male. His parents were Somavia and Meadowbrook chins. I'm hoping for more great chins from him. He's fathered Isabeau, our standard vc, a black velvet female who went to a pet home last Christmas, and now the black velvet male violet male in our Nursery at the moment.
This is our Miracle!! She is younger sister to Caspian and Reepacheap, their mum's second litter. When she and her sister were born, Peta, their mum, didn't have any milk. We started supplementing after a couple of days and Miracle was always waiting for me when I came down with the milk, sometimes even squeezing out of her cage and sitting on top of it. Unfortunately, her sister didn't make it. Miracle is paired with Beethoven and has just had her first baby, a black velvet violet carrier male. He's sooo cute!! You can see pics of him in the Nursery.
